IVF XIII 2010 World Sprints Noumea, New Caledonia
IVF XIV 2010 World Sprint Championships
Noumea, New Caledonia
Requesting all club Directors to take this information to their coaches (& paddlers)!
Any paddler interested should speak with their coaches for recommendation/reference. I encourage the coaches to be responsible to submit their consideration on paddlers/crews.
All participants should have current membership & be active paddlers.
IVF World Sprint is a top level competition! We should field the strongest teams possible vs. sending paddlers who want a cool vacation & have some vacation time!
If you “commit” (pay/register/attend) the IVF Sprint Races, you must be available for each day of the event. A schedule will be published but adjustments can and most likely will be made due to unforeseen circumstances! after heats are run, there are repechages, semi finals and finals, you need to be available if/when your crew advances!
A paddler selection criteria has never been established. In 2008 IVF XIII World Sprints in Sacramento we had several top SCORA paddlers step up to coach and create strong crews to compete! Muuch mahalos to Mindy Clark, Josh Crayton, Danny Ching, Tim Dougherty, Tyson Poppler & Cheancie Adair. (apologies if anyone else has slipped from my mind at this time...) There were many others who took large parts in making sure the event went as smoothly as it did,.. non-paddlers our Uncle Bud Hohl, his wife Terri, Jane Crayton, Jack Adair and many others!
*** I would like to have one person from each club be team manager and work to organize any interested paddlers! ***Passport: New or renew 1) Post Office or 2) VISAHQ.com
